Ben Weisner
At 26 years of age Ben Wiesner has already had quite a career.
His accolades include performing in London with Darren Hayes
as well as national touring with Christine Anu for her last
album "Come My Way". Ben was also a headline act
for the 2003 Falls festival, and Globe World Cup Skate Boarding
at Rod Laver Arena, in his duo with DJ Selekt.
In Dec 2002 Ben flew to London to perform with Darren Hayes.
This trip included playing the Capital FM Christmas party,
which was a concert to 20,000 people and was televised on
Christmas Eve to an estimated audience of five million people
throughout the UK and Europe. He also had a number of TV performances
on shows such as Top of the Pops and GMTV.
Throughout 2001 Ben was part of the Christine Anu Band where
he toured most capital cities and regional areas. This included
memorable performances at the Goodwill games in Brisbane,
and the Hopman Cup tennis open in Perth.
Ben’s current projects are dance band Earthworm, who
are currently promoting there debut, self titled EP which
He co-wrote and co-produced. He is also working in the studio
with singer Hayley Aitken as a producer/writer, Ben also performs
in a duo with current Australian DMC champion DJ Selekt, which
involves the use of Ben triggering loops and samples and applying
real time effects all while playing fat beats on both his
acoustic and electronic kit.
